VE Day – 75th Anniversary

On Friday 8th May, we commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day – when the Second World War ended in Europe. We will be broadcasting a special service service of commemoration and remembrance for the 75th anniversary at 10.45am on our Facebook page.  The service takes the form of a service or prayer and reflection,

Christmas Memory Tree

Once again, we are delighted to be having a memory tree in church from 1st December through to Epiphany (6th January).  This is a chance for all to come and remember a loved one, at what can be a difficult time of year.  Placing a card on the tree is free but any donations received

Remembrance – 100th anniversary of the Armistice

We have started taking the poppy displays out of the church, and they will all be taken out by Wednesday.  We will be storing them away and using them in the future. We want to say thank you to all those who helped prepare the displays – people from the church, Even Swindon Primary School

Rodbourne Remembers

Rodbourne Remembers is a joint project between Rodbourne Community History Group and St Augustine’s Church, Summers Street, Rodbourne. The brass War Memorial inside St Augustine’s lists 38 men feom Rodbourne who paid the ultimate price in the Great War.
