If you are thinking of getting married in church, want to get your baby baptised (christened), or looking for information on funerals, this section of our site aims to give some of the information you need to help start your planning.

Baptisms

  • By bringing your child for baptism, you are thanking God for his gift of life, deciding to start your child on the journey of faith and asking for the Church’s support.

Weddings

  • Christians believe that marriage is a gift from God. In the marriage ceremony, a couple make a public declaration of lifelong commitment to love each other, come what may.

Funerals

  • A funeral marks the close of a human life on earth. It is the opportunity for friends and family to express their grief, to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world and to commend the person into God’s keeping.

Reading of Banns
