Our services follow a set pattern throughout each month.
All Sunday morning services start at 11.00am.
First Sunday – Family Service
A shorter, family-friendly service suitable for all ages, which aims to get the message of Jesus across in a different way through a relevant theme. No books, no sheets – everything is on the screen. We sometimes include craft within our worship.
Second Sunday – Parish Communion
Traditional Eucharist, which includes hymns and sung service setting. We sometimes sing the psalm as well. Sometimes includes baptisms. Baptism Service by arrangement only. This service can be held during the main Sunday service, or at 12.00pm. Please see the baptism page for more information.
Third Sunday – Songs of Praise
St Augustine’s has a long relationship with Rodbourne Methodist Church, and once a month, we unite for worship. On the odd numbered month’s (i.e. January, March etc), the service is held at Rodbourne Methodist Church. On the even months (February, April etc) when the service is at St Augustine’s it is a Songs of Praise service which includes lots of hymns and is centred around a selected theme. This service uses the screen.
(please note: alternating venue – St Augustine’s hosts this service on the ‘even’ numbered months i.e. February, April etc).
Fourth Sunday – Family Communion
Informal Eucharist suitable for all the family. This service usually uses the screen.
Fifth Sunday – Sunday Service
The service on the fifth Sunday varies, and we often try different styles of worship.
