Below are details of all of our major Advent and Christmas services – all are welcome here to celebrate Christmas. The main leaflet can be downloaded from clicking on the link on the right hand side of the page.
Saturday 28th November starting at 11.00am
A time of Christmas themed crafts, stories, food and fun for children of all ages (accompanied by an adult). It’s free, lunch is included and all are welcome to come along and join in the fun.
From Darkness to Light – Advent Carol Service
Sunday 29th November at 6.00pm
A service of Advent carols, readings and music for the first Sunday in Advent. The service begins in darkness with a candlelit procession.
Wednesday 2nd December at 6.00pm
A family friendly service where all present are given a Christingle to take away. During the service, the lights are switched off and the church is lit by the light of the Christingle candles.
Wednesday 9th December from 7.00pm
Come and take part in a centuries old tradition of walking a labyrinth which will be laid out on the church floor. It is a time for reflection and a chance to be still in the hustle of the preparations for Christmas.
The Labyrinth will be available at most services – but specifically, you are welcome to come into church between 10am and 12pm on Saturday mornings during December and the open evening on Wednesday 9th from 7.00pm.
Wednesday 16th December at 7.30pm
Come and celebrate Christmas with Makin’ MuZic at a family friendly concert with plenty of opportunity to join in the singing! Doors open at 7.00pm with mince pies and mulled wine. Tickets: £4 and can be pre-booked on the church website, are available from the church or at the door.
Carols and Readings for Christmas
Sunday 20th December at 6.00pm
Our traditional carol service with readings and carols by candlelight, retelling the Christmas story. The service is followed by mulled wine and mince pies for which all are invited to stay.
Christmas Eve at 6.00pm
A very popular service for everyone which includes our own version of the Nativity story, songs and the blessing of the Crib. Everyone is encouraged to take part.
Christmas Eve at 11.30pm
The first communion of Christmas by candlelight and includes familiar carols. The service lasts an hour and is suitable for all ages.
Carols for Christmas Day
Christmas Day at 10.00am
A short family friendly service (approx. 45 minutes) including lots of songs and carols. Christmas jumpers are optional!
